You can look the licence up yourself on the CSLB website — we’d encourage it, and not just for us. Anyone quoting you electrical work in California should be happy to hand over a number you can check.
Because it is doing its job. A breaker that trips repeatedly is reporting a real fault — usually an overloaded circuit, a short somewhere in the wiring, or an appliance that has started to fail. The one genuinely unsafe response is to keep resetting it and hope. If it trips more than once, leave it off and call someone.
Often, yes — and it depends on both the job and the city. Panel upgrades, service changes and new circuits usually need one; swapping a light fixture usually doesn’t. Because we work across San Jose, Modesto, Stockton and Sacramento County, and none of them handle it identically, we check for your address and tell you at estimate stage rather than after.
We give you a written price before the work starts, and that’s the price you pay. What we won’t do is quote a panel upgrade over the phone without seeing the panel — the honest answer to “how much” is nearly always “let me look at it first”, and any number given sight-unseen is a number that will change.
Usually, yes. It comes down to the spare capacity in your panel and the run from the panel to where you park. We do a load calculation before quoting rather than assuming the panel can take it — that calculation is also what tells you whether you need a panel upgrade alongside the charger, which is much better to know at the start.
